Detailed Description Access Control / Contactless Card Readers

1.0 Background
The Hirsch Velocity physical access control system (PACS) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) requires modification/service to increase reliability and readiness. The current system has several deficiencies:
a) Existing proximity card readers have a high rate of failure due to Common Access Card (CAC) wireless antenna degradation
b) A Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) room needs a card reader to be installed at the door and connected to the existing system for access, audit readiness, and tracking
c) The system has only a single functioning user login and needs separate logins for individual users for accountability
d) Customer-provided Lexmark CS632 printer on site and need it connected to the system to produce reports
e) Need current security firmware for the Velocity workstation and software
