The Client's goal is that it should be intuitive for travelers to obtain and use the validator, and that its functions meet the needs of the four transport authorities within the Lynx collaboration. That it is a validator that works and can grow in scope with the Client's possible future needs for cEMV. The validator is expected to be robust and withstand the on-board environment in which it will be located on buses.

• The hardware installed in the vehicle must be adapted to and comply with applicable legislation and regulations, which also includes applicable EMC requirements.

• Regarding general hardware reporting requirements, the Supplier must specify:
- Processor make and model name
- Memory configuration (primary and secondary memory)
- All available communication ports (number, type, capacity, etc.)
- Operating system (which Linux distribution)
- Available communication protocols (specified per interface type)

• The hardware must be labeled for unique identification of the unit with at least, but not exclusively:
- MAC address or other unique identification
The information must be able to be read out visually without any need to convert the data. The information must also be able to be read out digitally via the operating system.

• The hardware shall have storage space for the Customer's validator software including Bobcat validator, Bobcat python, various other support applications, black and white lists, and other datasets. (The validator software is estimated to occupy a total of <=4 GB).
The validator software will be delivered as an OCI container.
Specify how much space the Customer has access to after the validator software has been installed.

• The hardware shall be placed in the front passenger compartment or at the rear door openings of the vehicle and may then have a physical outer dimension of a maximum of 27 cm. Height refers to the largest outer dimension of the device.
Specify the dimensions of the device with height, width, and depth.

• The hardware should be mounted on a fixture adapted to the space, which can be a vertical column mount (0.5-1.4 turns) and/or a wall mount. The customer's existing cabling should be used for installation.

• The hardware should have a design that makes it easy and intuitive for the traveler to distinguish and understand how the device is to be used.
